The City of Russellville is standing up for The U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment: the right to bear arms. The mayor says it’s all in an attempt to bring business to the area.
Mayor David Grissom wants companies to consider Russellville, a gun friendly town.
Now the city is taking aim at a new target: companies that manufacture firearms or ammunition.

The Newly Elected Russellville Mayor and City Council will take their Oath of Office at a Ceremony to be held at the Franklin County Courthouse Large Courtroom on Sunday, November 4th at 2 o’clock pm with Reception following. The Public is Invited.
In the News: Grissom ready to begin new job

A day after election results were returned in the city of Russellville, David Grissom said it was still hard to fathom that he will officially become the mayor of his hometown on November 5.
Grissom, a local businessman, defeated incumbent mayor Troy Oliver in Tuesday’s municipal election with a decisive 68 percent of the vote.
Grissom said he understands his new position comes with a great deal of responsibility, but after serving as the councilman for District 5 for the past four years, he said he is familiar with where the city currently stands and where it needs to be in the future.

In the News: Grissom elected Russellville mayor

Russellville city councilman David Grissom was overcome by emotions Tuesday night following a decisive victory in the mayor’s race.
Grissom, a Russellville business owner, defeated incumbent Mayor Troy Oliver 1,501 votes to 711.
“This is an overwhelming feeling right now,” Grissom said. “It’s unbelievable.

In the News: Grissom believes teamwork is vital to Russellville’s future

I was asked to write an article stating why I believe you should elect me as the next mayor of Russellville.
The best way I can answer that is to explain the different points of my vision for a better Russellville.
A theme of my campaign has been teamwork. I believe teamwork is more important for our city now than ever before. First of all, the mayor and council members must work together as a TEAM for the benefit of the people and for our city.
